He was the husband of Janice (Lawson) Vogel, who shared in life with him 36 wonderful years.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Paul E., Sr. and Ethel E. (Welsh) Vogel.
A Navy veteran having proudly served for 4 years prior to receiving his honorable discharge. He then went on to retire from PepsiCo, Reading as a Tow Motor Operator.
In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his daughter, Pamela A. (Vogel) Newman. Also, his step daughters, Deborah K. (Mitchell) Kauffman and Tina M (Ganster) Klemmer. He is also survived by a sister Marie Vogel. He was predeceased by his step daughter Almira L. (Mitchell) Schmeer, and his siblings, Robert Reed and Judy Klusewitz.
Paul enjoyed being a present grandfather to his ten grandchildren, Alise, Andrew, Carson, Jennifer, Jeremy, Vincent, Joey, Brittany, Maddy and Jared.
Paul was a man who would genuinely help anyone at anytime. He’d go out of his way to give to others. His family was his most treasured gift in this life. He enjoyed playing cards, bowling and golf. He will be missed by many and all who loved and knew him.
A viewing will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 in Auman’s, Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Road, Reading, Pa. 19606 (Exeter Township) from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Interment in Berks County Memorial Gardens will be private at the family’s convenience.
