Born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, on November 17, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Paul E. Scheel and Pearl M. (Bartlett) Scheel.
Pauline worked for many years as a spray painter at Boyertown Body Works. After retirement, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures—browsing Jake’s Flea Market, cheering on her favorite NASCAR driver, Jeff Gordon, watching Phillies baseball, listening to Conway Twitty, birdwatching, feeding squirrels from her porch, and spending time with her beloved cat, Axel. She also loved decorating her home for the seasons, with Christmas being her favorite time of year.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, William C. Scheel; her sisters, Nancy J. Weller, Joan Eagle, and Patsy Johnson; and her grandson, David Adams.
She is survived by her sister, Margie O’Ponski; her daughters, Vicki McManus, Annette Lucarelli Sanders; her grandchildren, Jason D. McManus, Lauren McManus-Rowe, Molly McManus, and Tonia Carlile Adams; her great-grandchildren, Mason McManus, Evan McManus, Briella Jo McManus, Kayleigh Rowe, Natasha Pichardo, Austin Carlile, and Mason Carlile; and her great-great-grandchildren, London Mason Pichardo and Theo Pichardo.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her niece, Gloria Banos; her great-nieces, Judy Seeds and Donna Hay; her friend, Judy Landis; and especially her dear lifelong friend, Richard Hillegas, whose companionship and support meant so much to Pauline throughout the years and during her final days. Their kindness, care, and devotion brought comfort and peace to both Pauline and her family and will always be remembered with deep appreciation.
She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
