Pedro Mejia-Romero

Pedro Mejia-Romero, husband of Antonia Eufemia Cortes, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on January 18, 1965, in El Salvador, Pedro later made his home in Reading, Pennsylvania, where he built a life centered on faith and family.

A faithful member of the Iglesia Adventista del Septimo Dia Rehoboth Hispana, Pedro’s life was defined by his steady and unwavering devotion to God. He lived his faith daily through his kindness, humility, and the love he showed to everyone around him. Pedro possessed an adventurous spirit and found great peace in the great outdoors. He was happiest when he was fishing, casting a line, and appreciating the simplicity of nature. Above all, Pedro treasured the moments spent surrounded by his family and close friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Antonia Eufemia Cortes, and his children: Yesy Carolina Rivera (Obed F.), Pedro Antonio Mejia, Claudia Dalila Mejia Cortez (William F.), Isaac Mejia (Patricia M.), Delfina Maria Mejia (Jake B.), and Jesus Emmanuel Cortez. He also leaves behind his five cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Alexis, Chelsea, Vincent, and Nico, who brought immense joy to his life.

Pedro is also survived by his loving siblings and their families: his sister, Rubia Esperanza Mejía and her three children; his brother, Eriberto Mejía and his five children; his sister, Rosa Mejía and her five children; his brother, Fernando Mejía and his three children; and his brother, Juan Mejía and his four children.

All who knew and loved Pedro are warmly invited to a Public Visitation and Worship Service on August 1, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Iglesia Adventista del Septimo Dia Rehoboth Hispana, 545 S. 16th St, Reading, PA 19606.

Pedro Mejía-Romero, esposo de Antonia Eufemia Cortes, falleció en paz el 22 de julio de 2026, a la edad de 61 años. Nació el 18 de enero de 1965 en El Salvador. Más adelante estableció su hogar en Reading, Pensilvania, donde construyó una vida llena de fe y dedicada a su familia.

Pedro fue un miembro fiel de la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día Rehoboth Hispana. Su vida estuvo marcada por su constante y firme dedicación a Dios. Vivió su fe cada día a través de su bondad, humildad y el amor que brindaba a todos los que lo conocían. Pedro disfrutaba de la aventura y encontraba mucha tranquilidad al estar en contacto con la naturaleza. Era feliz cuando pescaba, lanzando su caña y disfrutando de la sencillez de la naturaleza. Sobre todo, Pedro atesoraba los momentos junto a su familia y amigos cercanos, creando recuerdos que serán guardados para siempre.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Antonia Eufemia Cortes, y sus hijos: Yesy Carolina Rivera (Obed F.), Pedro Antonio Mejía, Claudia Dalila Mejía Cortez (William F.), Isaac Mejía (Patricia M.), Delfina María Mejía (Jake B.) y Jesús Emmanuel Cortez. También deja atrás a sus cinco queridos nietos: Anthony, Alexis, Chelsea, Vincent y Nico, quienes trajeron mucha alegría a su vida.

Pedro también será recordado por sus queridos hermanos y sus familias: su hermana, Rubia Esperanza Mejía, y sus tres hijos; su hermano, Eriberto Mejía, y sus cinco hijos; su hermana, Rosa Mejía, y sus cinco hijos; su hermano, Fernando Mejía, y sus tres hijos; y su hermano, Juan Mejía, y sus cuatro hijos.

Todos los que conocieron y amaron a Pedro están cordialmente invitados a acompañar a la familia durante el tiempo de despedida y el servicio de adoración que se llevará a cabo el 1 de agosto de 2026, de 9:30 a.m. a 12:30 p.m., en la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día Rehoboth Hispana, 545 S. 16th St., Reading, PA 19606.
