Pietro "Peter" Gentile

Born in Andali Catanzaro, Italy on July 14, 1957, he was a son of Nice (Grande) Gentile and the late Domenico Gentile.

Pietro spent his life dedicated to the culinary arts. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends anytime he was given the opportunity. He was a lover of life and lived to brighten people's day by making them smile and laugh. To know him was to love him.

Surviving are three children: Dominic Gentile of Reading, Alexandria (Gentile) DeLong, wife of Andrew DeLong of Leesport and Gabriella Gentile of Wyomissing; two grandchildren: Lukis and Leigha DeLong; two siblings: Vito Gentile, husband of Carmen Gentile of Wyomissing and Denise (Gentile) Caputo, wife of Michael Caputo of Levittown, NY; five nieces, Katrina, Gena, Darian, Aryana and Mikaela; uncle, Carmine Gentile of Andali Catanzaro, Italy; aunts, cousins and many friends.

Services for Pietro will be graveside at 11:30am on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd., Reading, PA 19605. Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 27, 2017 in Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn St., Reading, PA 19601 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm.
