He was the husband of Patricia M. (Groff) Snyder
Born in Oley he was a son of Esther E. (Keller) Snyder of Oley and the late John Snyder.
He was employed for 30+ years as a Weighmaster with the former Berks Products until retiring.
An avid bigfoot researcher he also was an avid racing fan, especially Nascar and Indy car racing. He also liked watching the Philadelphia Eagles and was a big fan of John Wayne. Most important to Richard was his cherished family.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son Douglas J. Snyder and wife Jeanna of Troutman, NC. He is also survived by a step son Chad Heffner of Oley and a step daughter Tammy Burkhart of Exeter Township. Also surviving are his sisters Cindy Snyder of Oley and Wendy Gilmer of Leesport. Richard is also survived by his two grandchildren Brandon Snyder and Kirsten Snyder.
Services and burial in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township will be private at the family’s convenience. Auman’s, Inc. Funeral Home, Exeter Township is in charge of arrangements.
