Mr. Robert K Long

Robert K. Long, 94, died November 25, 2011, in his Shillington residence. His wife, Marie (Uhler) Long, died April 24, 2009. He was

born March 19, 1917, in Reading, a son of the late Philip L. and Ethel (Seiders) Long. Robert was an Army WWII veteran and was employed by the Reading Railroad as an engineer for 38 years retiring in 1977. He was a lifetime member of Checkered Flag Fan Club. Robert was an avid race fan and a Philadelphia Phillies fan. He loved working on cars and motorcycles.

He is survived by a nephew, John P. Kramer of Reading, and 4 nieces, Mary Ann Focht of Fleetwood, Cheryl Martin of Zellwood, Fl., Catherine Evans of Seligman, AZ., and Karen Evans-Lepera of Fleetwood.

Services will be Wednesday November 30, 2011, 2pm in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Road, Reiffton. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be Wednesday 130-2pm in the funeral home.

Bob will be missed,my thoughts and prayer are with the family at this diffucult time! I surely will miss him .i visited him almost everyday for the last 3 years! He surely loved his motorcycles and had the neatest stories! He was so alert to the end! REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND!
