A child of the '60s and originally from Baltimore, she attended Juniata, Temple and also University of PA, ultimately achieving two master's degrees. She worked as a History teacher in a poor section of Philadelphia for a few years before I was born.
After leaving the city with my father for a secluded home bordering French Creek State Park, she dedicated her life to gardening, cooking and caring for her animals (myself included).
In her final days, she was surrounded by her family and friends. My father, Thomas S. Palmer, was with her at the end. Goodbye, Mom. Be at peace.
