Sally Ann Armao, 85, of Reading, PA entered eternal rest on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Mifflin Center. Born on September 19, 1937 in Reading, PA she was the only child to the late Chester F. Golembeski and Mary (Sokol) Golembeski.
Sally was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1955. She worked in the office of Bloom Furniture for 17 years and then at the Medicine Shoppe, until her retirement.
Sally loved swans, shopping at Boscov's, going to the movies and dinner with her beloved husband Allan. She also had a sweet tooth and occasionally skipped dinner and went right to dessert. Sally will be fondly remembered for her generous spirit, rambunctious laugh and for the annual Christmas Eve parties her and her husband hosted; that welcomed generations of family and friends from every walk of life. However above all else, she absolutely treasured the time spent caring for and loving her grandchildren; although she said her children weren't too bad either. Sally will be sorely missed by all blessed enough to have known her.
Sally's spirit will be carried on by her beloved husband of 56 years, Allan A. Armao Sr.; they were joined in marriage on February 24, 1966. She also leaves behind her 4 adult children Debra Mohn, of West Lawn; Keith Armao and his wife Monica, of Sinking Spring; Wayne Bearstler and his wife Jodi, of New Jersey; Allan A. Armao Jr. and his wife Linda, of Wernersville; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents, Sally was greeted in heaven by her son Steven Armao.
Inurnment at Forest Hills Memorial Park, will be private and at the discretion of Sally's family.
