

Shane George, 39, of Leesport passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2026, in Washington DC. He was the devoted father of Annabelle Elizabeth George & Arianna Elizabeth George; spouse to Amanda Elizabeth Perrotto. Known for his overwhelming generosity & kindness – his infectious smile & laugh. Always going out of his way to help those in need.
Shane was born in Reading Hospital on July 8, 1986. A son to Christine (Houck) Marquette and the late Jeremy Marquette. He was employed as a rigger for various IASTE unions, as well as the owner/operator of Alpha Crew Tree Removal. He enjoyed riding his dirt bike, four-wheeler, & motorcycles. He shot pool for various leagues over the years. Recently regaining his love for running his RC cars, while teaching his daughter Annabelle - even building a track in the front yard. This past spring season he was the assistant coach for Annabelle’s Schuylkill Valley softball team. He was an avid animal lover; his home filled with fur babies. Shane was always up for an adventure. Spontaneous trips to indoor waterparks, amusement parks, beaches, concerts – anything to make his family smile.
Shane is survived by his two brothers: David M. George (husband of April George) & Dillon Marquette (husband of Hannah Marquette); his sister: Tara George; Paternal grandmother: Bonnie Marquette; Maternal grandmother: Marge Wenrich; two uncles: Timothy Houck(husband of the late Janet Houck) & Jason Marquette (husband of Pamela Marquette); two aunts: Robin Wilson & Carol Dechert (wife of Joel Dechert); brother in law: Daniel G. Perrotto III; his five nephews: Logan George, Daniel G. Perrotto IV, Aden George, Maverick Perrotto, and Wesley Marquette; his best friend: Savannah Garl (wife of Mike Economy); as well as many beloved cousins, friends, and his union family. Shane was predeceased in death by his oldest brother, David Christoper George.
A Memorial gathering will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 2-3pm with a Memorial Service to begin at 3pm (in which his friends & family will have the opportunity to share their loving memories of Shane) in Theo Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street Reading PA 19601.
