Known to her family and friends by many beloved names — Mom, Futzer, Duffy, Grandmum, Nana, Aunt Shirley, and, affectionately, the "Food Bully" — Shirley lived a century marked by strength, compassion, humor, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loved.
Shirley was strong, compassionate, funny, and fiercely loyal — the one who always showed up, for family, friends, and anyone in need of a helping hand or a good meal. Anyone who walked into her kitchen knew two things: they were going to be fed, whether they were hungry or not, and they were probably going to hear a one-liner sharp and perfectly timed enough to make them forget what they'd come in for. Her humor was legendary, quick and sharp, delivered with just the right touch of love — and a little sass. Behind every laugh was a deep well of compassion; she listened, comforted, and cared for the people around her not because she had to, but because it was simply who she was.
Through a hundred years of change, challenges, and triumphs, Shirley remained steady — always rooted in family and love, and a living example that you can get through just about anything with humor, kindness, and a little butter. She built a family that adored her, friends who admired her, and a legacy that will outlast us all.
