Stanley was born in Reading, PA on August 10, 1952, to the late William T. Danner, Sr and Annie L. (Garnett) Danner. Stanley was educated in the Reading School District where he became a proud Reading High Red Knight graduate in 1970. After graduation, Stanley attended Penn State University before halting his education to serve in the United States Air Force to proudly serve his country during the Vietnam War. After the war, Stanley became a machine operator at Carpenter Technology until his retirement. He was a beloved and dedicated production volunteer of the Berks County Jazz Festival where over decades of dedication Stanley created an extensive Jazz-Fest family made up of everyone he came into contact with. These relationships included volunteers at every level, Berks Arts staff, and artist. Stanley was also a loud and proud lifetime Las Vegas Raiders fan. Stanley was known to passionately, support “His Team”, win, lose or draw, like it or not.
Also known as Dad, Stan, Grand Stan, and Stan the Man, however; his favorite title was Husband. Stanley has unconditional love for his wife, Janet. His love for her was dedicated, unconditional, intense, and unwavering. Together their union created a beautiful life with their children, grandchildren, and extended family; including his Jazz-Fest family. After retirement Stan filled his days with the grandchildren, who were welcome at any time of day and night. He also traveled to Pittsburg for extended visits with Byron Jr. and Dakota. In addition, anyone who knew Stan also knew of his special bond with his granddaughter, Ruby. added immense joy to Stan’s life on a daily basis. When Ruby wasn’t at the house, Stan moped around until she returned.
Stan is survived by his loving wife, Janet, his children; Gemerce Whitehurst (Kirk), Isaiah Danner, Joshua Danner, Amanda Hernandez (Steve), Darius Brown (Lindsay), Robinette Killen (Shermar), Byron Dovales (Morgan), and Raquel Dovales, surviving siblings; William T. Danner, Jr (Mabel), Irvin Danner (Debra), Patricia Danner, Constance Danner-Witherspoon, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close family friends.
Stanley was predeceased by his son, Donald Brown and his sister, Camilla L. Bullock.
