Stephen Joseph Strus Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Michele (Abitabile) Strus, whom he shared 27 1/2 years of marriage.

Stephen was born in Manheim, Germany, on May 10, 1946.

He was an Army Vietnam War veteran where he was a recipient of The Purple Heart.

Stephen was employed by U.S. Post Office and Federal Express in Philadelphia.

He was a member of Disabled American Veterans, member of American Legion, and Masonic member of Spring-Ford Lodge #553. Stephen also volunteered for the Lebanon VA Hospital in Lebanon, County.

He is also survived by Shawn A. Good, Stephen J. Strus Jr., and 3 grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in Auman's Inc., Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reiffton. Interment to follow in Limerick Garden of Memories. A viewing will be Tuesday 10-11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, Reading-Berks Co. #10, 202 Stevens Ave., Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
