Steven John Baksic, 78, of Lower Alsace, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Reading Hospital. Born on December 25, 1947, in Reading, he was the only child of the late Steven Matt Baksic and Dorothy Alice (Schwambach) Baksic.
Steven was a graduate of Reading High School. Throughout his working years, he was employed by several companies, including Firestone, where he worked as a tire builder, Laureldale Cemetery, where he served as head groundskeeper, and Bethlehem Steel.
A lifelong traveler, Steven enjoyed visiting many memorable destinations. Among his favorites were the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Yellowstone, and various places throughout Europe, including France, Switzerland, and Austria.
Steven was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State fan. He was also an animal lover, a history buff with a particular interest in U.S. history, and enjoyed watching movies in his free time.
Steven's memory will live on through his wife, Kathy (Theis) Baksic; his son, Steven Baksic, and his wife, Marla, of Boca Raton, FL; his grandson, Jared Baksic, and his wife, Rachel Small, of Hoboken, NJ; his granddaughters, Brittany Baksic and Emily Baksic Amaral, and her husband, Matheus Amaral; and his two great-granddaughters, Mila Baksic Amaral and Luana Baksic Amaral.
A celebration of Steven's life will be private and held at the family's discretion.
