Walter Henry Schoch Jr., age 77, of Reading entered eternal rest on Friday, February 7, 2020. Walter was born February 21, 1942 to the late Martha (Lutz) Schoch and Walter H. Schoch Sr., in Reading, PA.
Walter worked as a machinist at Interstate Container in Reading for several years, retiring from Walmart. A pizza and ice cream aficionado, devoted husband and friend to many, Walter was universally loved by most humans. A thoroughly good man, he was always there to help a friend or neighbor in need. He had a great love of life, family and his favorite holiday, Christmas.
Walter's spirit will be carried on by his wife, Eleanor L. (McGrann) Schoch, with whom they would have celebrated their 53 rd. wedding anniversary in June; daughter Susan J. Huber; two sons David Schoch, Howard Delp; four granddaughters and two sisters, Mary and June.
In addition to his parents, his brother Robert Schoch greeted him in Heaven.
Funeral services for Walter will be private and at his family’s discretion. Theo C. Auman Funeral Home, Reading is honored to serve Walter and his loving family at this difficult time.
