Susan, I have often thought of you and David and wondered where you ventured. I am so sorry to hear of David's passing and I wish you and your family my deepest sympathy.

It is always hard to say goodbye to our loved ones.  Having grown up with my 'double cousin' and his brother John and sister Betty, Billy (as you were known throughout childhood) will certainly be missed.  I pray for God to hold Susan, David, David, Matthew, Betty and John close and give you all comfort. So sorry we could not make the funeral.  William David was a unique person and I know is having a wonderful reunion with all the family and friends in Heaven.  See you again soon!!

It was many years ago,way up in Northern New York State and there was David teaching with his normal passion for his subject and enthusiasm for the individuals in front of him.

No concession for his seriously ailing back except for the ice pack tucked into his shirt, and the reserve pack in the refrigerator for exchange at the brake.
But that was how he was!

I had the pleasure of working with David on a project a few years ago. We all benefitted from his wisdom and knowledge. I will never forget answering the door during the early part of my twin pregnancy (while on bed rest and suddenly off work) to a delivery. David wondered what had happened to me and cared enough to send flowers. He was a class act. My condolences to Susan and his family.

I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with David.  He was a unique individual and we all learnt a lot from him.

I was lucky to have a chance to work with David and have him as my mentor in my very early career life. David was an extraordinarily intelligent scholar, an invincible captain, an inspiring mentor and an invaluable and beloved friend. His spirit will always be remembered. My deepest condolences to the family.

So sorry we can't make it to David's service, but will be thinking of the family and praying for you during this time.    Our deepest sympathy to the family.

David was a strong force to me early in my consulting career.  He was a mentor, an advocate, an ally, and a friend.  I was in awe of his ability to become an expert overnight on virtually any topic – his thirst for knowledge was inspiring.  I always knew that when I spoke to David, he was listening.  I'll miss him.

I am proud to say that David was my friend and will be sorely missed. He was always strong and appeared invulnerable. He mocked his own frailty and thirsted for the next challenge.  It is hard to accept that he is gone. My wishes are for the well-being of his family and friends during this grieving process.
