Barbara Ann Dupin

Barbara Ann Dupin completed her journey through The Long Goodbye on Saturday, July 25th 2026. She passed peacefully at her home, with her husband of nearly 36 years, Bill, by her side. They were the love of each other’s lives.

Barbara was a born February 20th, 1944 in Orange, Texas to Doris May Place and Leo Debbs Gooch. She worked for Bayer Corporation in Covina, California from 1984, until relocating to Redding, California in 2001.

Barbara was an adventurer. She loved scuba diving, skiing and traveling to places like Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Mexico and many Caribbean Islands. She was also able to go to Tahiti after winning “The Showcase Showdown” on The Price Is Right. Bill and Barbara were married on August 3, 1990 on the Wind Jammer sail boat, “The Flying Cloud” in Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

Barbara was a creative soul. She was an amazing artist who loved to paint with oil and water color. Her paintings were proudly displayed in their home and always included a hidden “D”, or reference to the Dupin name, somewhere, in each painting. She loved sewing, crocheting, gardening as well.

Barbara is survived by her husband William Wayne Dupin, daughter Denise Clark, son David Clark, grandson Dylan Hixon, brother Thomas Gooch (Josephine - deceased), brother Bim Gooch - deceased (Linda), sister Shirley Mills (Guy - deceased), brother George Gooch (Barbara), sister Irene Gooch (deceased), brother Jack Gooch (Darla - deceased). Blended children and family, son Wayne (Binod), daughter Wendie (Cole), son Rick (Debbie), sister-in-law Jacque Gorton (George), brother-in-law George Dupin (Joy), grand children Kelsey, Kori, Kylie, Tyson, Wesley, Skyler, Kaylee, Justin, Rick, Crystal, Christopher, Ashley, Duane, Mark and Christy, 22 great grand children, many nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.

Bill would like to extend his heart felt thanks to the caregivers of Bristol Hospice, Redding, for the compassionate and tender care they provide Barbara.
