Betty Klinefelter 88, a long time resident of Redding, California died from non recovering colon cancer surgery.
She was born in Owatonna, Minnesota on June 29, 1926 and moved to Redding, California in 1945.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Bert Klinefelter; they were happily married for 43 years; a brother and one sister. She is survived by her only son Raymond (Ray) Klinefelter PHD, (68), and two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.
Betty known as "Betsy" when she worked at Doc Cleary's Hilltop Skyroom for 17 years. Both Betty and Bert were involved in the Mounted Sheriff's Posse and Possittes in the '50's and '60's'.
They settled into ranching and farming in the South Redding Bonnyview area for many years. Bert also drove for Greyhound Buslines for 27 years. After Bert's unexpected death from a heart attack, Betty became a member of Allan's Golf Club. She was the Lady's Golf Association Club treasure for many years. Betty totally loved the game of golf, and especially all the friends she made there.
Betty cherished making many long-term friendships throughout the Redding area and was one of the world's best mother's.
She is buried next to her beloved Bert at Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding, California.
No services will be held at Betty's request.
