Dana Rhee Harrington passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 in Redding, CA. She was born in Vernon, TX on August 30, 1943. Dana moved with her parents, Richard and Doris Andersen to Henrietta, TX where her sister, Deloris was born. The family settled in Longview, TX and Dana graduated from Longview High School. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology from East Texas State University, Dana became a flight attendant for Pan American World Airways.
Dana resided in San Francisco, CA focusing on Vietnam “R & Rs” in her early career. Her later years were spent mostly travelling to Asian countries for United Airlines. Flying was Dana’s life. She died just six months after retiring from a 47 year career serving others. Dana is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Deloris and Bob Nelson, and her beloved nephew, Brady Nelson. Services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Lawncrest Chapel in Redding, CA.
