Doris Chartier

Doris Dean Chartier, 96, passed away on December 8, 2012 at home with her family by her side. Doris was born on June 29, 1916 in Cascade, Idaho.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Donald Chartier; six sisters and six brothers.

Doris was a loving and devoted homemaker who cherished her family. She is survived by her two sons: Dennis Chartier and his wife Kathleen, Dan Chartier and his wife Robin; grandchildren: Jenny Lynn Jordan, Denny Chartier, Chelsey Forseth, Josh Chartier, Janaéa Guterding, Katie Busekist, Regan Ortega along with twelve great-grandchildren.

Doris attended Lassen View Community Church and Redding Christian Fellowship. In her free time, Doris was an avid golfer and fan of the 49ers. She also sang for many years with Sweet Adelines and was a member of Billy Graham's Choir.

Viewing will be at Lawncrest Chapel on December 11, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Services will be held on December 12, 2012 at Lawncrest Chapel located at 1522 Cypress Ave. in Redding.

Graveside service will be held next week in Amboy, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Doris to the House of Hope in Redding, CA.
