
He graduated from Anderson Union High School in 1947. Gilbert went off to marry his high school sweetheart, Frankie Mae Patterson. Together they had four children and 12 grandchildren. Gilbert was an entrepreneur who at a young age started a very successful Facility Janitorial business, spanning more than 55 years with outstanding support from his clients. He was a hardworking man that spent his lifetime providing for his family.
Gilbert enjoyed his hobbies that consisted of camping, fishing, hunting and gardening. Gilbert also loved spending time with his grandchildren. His family and friends will always remember him as a dedicated husband, father and Grandpa. He will be remembered as the 96-year-old man that was still camping, tending to his garden and mowing his yard. Gilbert was a self-reliant, strong-minded man that prided himself on being able to do for himself.
Gilbert Cline is preceded into heaven by his brothers and sister, and the love of his life, his wife Frankie Mae Cline and his son Rick Cline. He is survived by his daughter Victoria Catalano, his son's Lance and Vance Cline and numerous grandchildren/great grandchildren that will carry his memories and stories of grandpa forever.
In life Everyone gets to be young, but not everyone is lucky enough like Gilbert to grow old. Till we meet again Dad ...
