He was born in Addison, New York to the late Dwayne and Jane Thompson. He is predeceased by his sisters Winifred and Kathleen and his brother David.
James is survived by his children Kathleen, Steve and Bill, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He loved astronomy, dogs and a good box of chocolates.
His greatest love was raising his family.
James will be remembered as a wonderful Husband, Dad, Grandfather and Friend. He will be missed.
