May 8, 1942 - March 27, 2026
Joy May Fuller Allan Harding, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away after experiencing a fall while on her final cruise on March 27, 2026.
Joy is preceded in death by her son David Scott Allan, her granddaughter Bianca Lynn Allan, her mother Mary Hazelton, and father Maynard Hazelton.
She is survived by her husband, James Harding, Sons Dennis (Dawn) Allan and Richard Allan, daughter Sharon (Mark) Allan Davis, step-daughter Marilyn Harding Daniels, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, brothers Gary “Butch” (Esther) Fuller, Tom (Lisa) Hazelton, and sisters Sue Hazelton, Linda (John) Hazelton Smith.
Joy was proud of her Locke Mills, ME childhood and liked to say, “You can take the girl out of Maine, but you can’t take the Maine out of the girl.” She moved to California when she was 20 years old and lived there until she moved to Grand Junction, CO with her husband, James Harding. They later had a winter home in Apache Junction, AZ and a summer home in Myrtle Creek, OR. They moved to Redding in 2022 where they enjoyed family and all the little great grand kids.
They loved to travel the country in their motor home competing in chili cook-offs and made friends everywhere they went. It was said she would be best friends and exchanging phone numbers with someone while in line at the grocery store. Her favorite place to camp was in Marble, CO, but she also loved being a camp host in Maine, where she could visit with family. You would find them cruising on a ship somewhere in the world, typically, twice a year.
Celebration of Life will be held on a future date.
Life will not be the same. She will be greatly missed.
