Joy Stout Ward

Joy was born in Redding to Leo and Merna Stout. She grew up in Redding and lived most of her life in Shasta County. She was married for 66 years to William M. Ward, the love of her life. Following her retirement from the Shasta County Human Services Dept. she worked as a volunteer with the Shasta Regional Community Foundation. She also belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine.

Joy is survived by her husband William of Redding, daughters: Nancy (Willard) Anglemyer of Shingletown and Elizabeth White of Red Bluff; son Martin Ward of Redding; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Services will be held Monday, September 24, 2012 at 9:30 AM in the chapel of the Northern California Veterans Cemetery, 11800 Gas Point Rd, Igo.
