

Spike was born on July 12, 1930 in Bonne Terre, Missouri to Leo and Carolyn Boehle. He and his family moved to Redding, California in 1945. He attended Shasta High School, married Marjorie Downing and began his career in the automotive after market by going to work for Auto Accessories Company. In 1963 Spike bought his first store, Taylor Auto Parts in Anderson. He eventually owned eleven NAPA Auto Parts Stores in northern California.
In 1969 he moved to Anderson, California. He and Nancy were married in 1970. They lived in Anderson for 35 years, before retiring to Tucson, Arizona.
Spike served as president of many organizations including Anderson Rotary, California Automotive Wholesalers Association, and Riverview Golf and Country Club. He also served on NAPA Auto Parts National Advisory Board, the Automotive After market Industry Association Board of Directors, and on the Board of Directors for Redding Medical Center. Spike was an avid golfer, hunter, baseball player, and traveler. He loved his and Nancy’s house on the Mendocino coast and diving for abalone. He was also known to enjoy a glass of fine wine and a good cigar.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Boehle of Tucson, Arizona.
