Marvin was born on June 18, 1932 in Anderson, CA, to Orieal and Marshall Radcliff. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving during the Korean war on the USS O’Brien. He was also in the Merchant Marines. He later moved to Seattle and accepted a position on the ferries in Pugent Sound.
Marvin was an honored elder of the Wintu tribe, and claimed his lineage from one of the last Wintu headmen of the tribe, Col-chu-loo-le. He was a member of AmVets, the VFW, the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed attending Navy reunions in various states. He loved to play cribbage and enjoyed having lunch at the Redding Rancheria Senior Program. His family and friends will always remember him as a kind and gentle person with a smile that would light up any room.
He is survived by his wife Gail; his sister Evelyn Maylone of San Diego; his daughter Debbie Dalton of Redding; his step-daughters Debbie Duncan of Roseville and Pamm Adams of Elk Grove; his son Brian Radcliff of Oregon; his step-sons John Perry of Mt. Gate, Mike Kladt of Anderson and Clyde Kladt of Redding; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; his three brothers Harold Conway, Robert and Marshall Radcliff; and his two sisters, Dorothy Hart and Marilyn Berkey.
Viewing will be held from 3-7pm on Wednesday, June 10th and funeral service is scheduled for 10 AM on Thursday, June 11, 2020, both at Lawncrest Chapel in Redding. Reception to follow at Redding Rancheria Community room.
