I will always regret not meeting you in person, but will forever cherish that we were able to find each other and share.

Ray was my best guy friend in high school. We talked almost every day and kept it in the friend zone. We talked about books, nerdy stuff, life and the future. The last time I talked to him was about 20 years ago, and was recently thinking about just saying a friendly hi, since my husband, who was a robotics guy himself,  passed away from Cancer at age 40 - to see this page and the legacy mode on Facebook.  I'm so sorry for your loss - I wish I'd kept in touch but to me, it sounds like he didn't change much. Continued to be the coolest, well read, friendly guy I remembered. My condolences. Ray was a righteous dude. We weren't super close and didn't speak often but when we chatted online it was like no real time had passed and we picked up where we left off. I always wanted to teach him to play Shadowfist and I fondly remember getting him to try scrapple for the first time when visited Philly years ago. He was a good man and he'll be sorely missed. Rest In Power, Rason! <3

Ray... was taken to soon. He was a good man, and friend. Someone you could ask for advice, or just have a conversation with.  He was friendly to everyone and was such a respectful person. We had lost touch a while ago, but it was always a positive thing whenever I saw him and my love is with him and his family. 

I could not be there today, but you and Aimee were on my mind every hour. If the many posts on FB are any indication, you touched many lives and I'm guessing there was an overflow crowd at your service. You lived a good life Ray Sampson, but for all of us, there was not enough of it. You shall be missed, but not mourned;  your presence made Earth a better place to be.
