Doodles, Bobby and Michele,  We were shocked to hear of Bob's passing and our hearts broke for you all.  We wish you strength and love to get you through.  We are here for you if there is anything we can do.

Thank you everyone for all the kind words.  I love my father and he will be missed everyday.  My dad was a hard working, kind man that I miss so much!.  Again, thank you- My family appreciates it.

I loved this man beyond words, he was my father-in-law for 23 years and a part of my life for 25 years. I will always remember the very best memories, camping, going to the cabin, and all the bbq's! He loved all of us and am grateful for my time with Dad!  Thinking of the enitire colburn/stapp families. Thoughts and prayers to all.   I love you, Bob. We will meet again!

We met Bob Sr. on July 4, 2000. His son Bob Jr. invited us to his parents home for a party. I never forgot how welcome this whole family made us feel as we sat in their company, new to the Redding area. Bob Sr. approached me and offered me a cold beer on that terribly humid day. He talked to me, some, even though he seemed a bit shy or just quiet at first. It was then I realized what a nice family this was and it was due to the man that was standing there conversing with me. Over the years we saw more of Bob Sr. and he was even more pleasant at each visit. We met his wife Lucy who treated our family very well. His daughter Michelle and son Bobby are incredible people. His grandchildren are wonderful. 

I will miss him, even though we haven't seen much of one another the last couple years. I will never forget how hospitable and genuine this man was. I really enjoyed the time I did get to spend with him, and I know he leaves us with a very positive feeling. That is what a wonderful job he did raising his family.

May God covet your soul and may you forever R.I.P.

There are many thoughts and prayers right now for you Doodles and your children.  So many of us search for the words when someone we know and care about lose a loved one.
  Over the years we see each other, say "hi" catch up a little and with a smile and gratitude we go on about our lives. So sorry to hear of Bob's passing,my heart goes out to the Colburn family. Please know he is free of pain and suffering and will be looking down on his beautiful family.
