Rodger was more than just a friend ~ He was a lifelong brother ~ workmate ~ neighbor ~ It all started many many moons ago ~ from when we met in Anderson ~ when he moved to Happy Valley Rd. Followed him to Huston Texas and and back ~ Was around when he met Diane ~ Watched this man come through brain surgery to his Native ancestors way of life where he became a Spiritual leader ~ He gave so much and asked for nothing in return ~ The Sweats where always very spiritual and healing ~ You'll live on in all our hearts forever ~ You serve Creator now ~ watching over your loved ones ~ I love you my Brother as you continue on your new journey ~ Denny will be so glad to be with you ~ Keep him close till I make my journey ~ Creator's Blessings ~ Mitakuye~Oyasin ~ Ah'o ~

Yellow Knife you are missed. I know that you and Rod (one who walks with two shadows) are together and enjoying each other’s company.

I asked Roger if I could wash his coffee cup for him and he told me, "I never even rinse that cup just in case someday I might need to scrape the coffee from the inside, that way I'll never run out." He had a great sense of humor, and of himself.
I've included a picture of Roger, encouraging my children and I to dance, and be ourselves at a local dance, even though we wore Alaskan Button Blankets regalia.
His smile will always remain in my heart. His stories and teachings were always what I needed to hear on that day.

Roger was my say so son's spiritual adviser and friend. I attended a ceremony for our granddaughter Miah at their house. Roger was a well loved man by many people including myself. My son passed before him and I know met him on the other side. Much love and respect Roger. Please give my son, James, a big hug for me. RIP
