

Ronald Vernon Divers

Ronald (Ron) Vernon Divers was born in Nampa, ID to Naomi Ruth (Divers) Brouillet and Franklin W. Divers.
Ron graduated from Woodburn High School in 1966, where he played football.
Ron married Ronda (Hammond) Divers, and had 4 children, Jeffrey Marlin Divers, Ross David Divers, Alice Joye Bayless, and Amelia Jayne Safley.
Ron raised his family in Woodburn, OR, and later relocated to Lake Oswego, OR.
Ron received a Degree in Data Processing Technology, and his early career was at NW Data Systems. He then worked for Withers Lumber in Woodburn for many years. He later opened Divers Window and Door in Lake Oswego, which was highly respected by builders, remodelers, and homeowners in the Portland Metro area. Ron was a member of the Portland Executives networking group.
Ron had a gift of leadership and loved family, history and heritage, as well as community. One of his hobbies was car collecting, and for many years owned a 1959 Thunderbird convertible. Ron was also a collector of friends and people. He loved to host family and friends for pool parties, and he was famous for his game room, including antique juke boxes, a coke machine and arcades. He spent time coaching both baseball and softball teams with his kids, and taught Sunday School at Woodburn Free Methodist Church.
Ron is survived by his children: Jeff (Tonya LaVoie) Divers, Ross Divers (Tiffany), Alice Bayless (Joe), Amelia Safley (Chris), his grandchildren: Cody Divers, Jordan Divers, McKenzie Hesselgesser (Tyler), David Divers (Bailey), Brock Bayless, Graham Bayless, Macy Safley, Reid Safley, and great grandchildren: Addison and Greysen. Ron was formerly married to Arya Behbehani.
He enjoyed his final years with his companion Dianne Hawks in Redding, CA, and recently celebrated his 78th birthday.
The family plans to celebrate his life at a private gathering.
