I have so many fond memories of Ruth and Ed. Peeling peaches at her sink or playing on the bear skin rug in Barbara's room. Ruth was a wonderful lady and a special friend to my mom, Nell Gaines. The warmth and love from being in her home will never be forgotten. God's comfort to her family. Until we meet again in our everlasting home with God.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time. I've only known Ruth since 2005, but we formed a friendship, and I admired and respected her. She has been missed at church, but we know she is part of the heavenly chorus now.

Ruth was an energetic, tireless community activist for the 'Central Valley' community. Thank you for your contributions as a board member for the Shasta Lake Gateway Library. Many many thanks go to Ruth and her generation of volunteers for making Shasta Lake a great place to live, to work and to play.

Ruth was a close friend of my grandmother Hester Schell, and my entire family. Ed and my grandfather Art hunted bear together many years ago. She was a tireless contributor to the Methodist church and the city of Shasta Lake. Always active, bright and chatting, she will be missed.
