Shirley Ann Wilcox

Shirley Ann Wilcox affectionately referred to as "Shirley Annie" was born on November 16, 1946, in Providence, RI to Sipriano Pinheria Ramos and Lucy (Edwards) Ramos.

Shirley Ann Ramos married John Howard Wilcox in 1963, and the couple had five children together.

Following graduation East Providence High School Shirley studied hard at Brian College while married and raising her children eventually graduated majoring in bookkeeping, medical coding and finance.

In 1996 Shirley was the last of her immediate family to relocate to Sacramento CA to be close to her children and grandchildren. She then embarked on another career path in property management in which she took great pride and loved her position very much.

Shirley enjoyed horseback riding in her youth, playing pool, creating stained glass art, along with swimming, listening to and singing along with groups such as (Earth Wind & Fire along with numerous artists from the era) while disco dancing in the living room.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a woman who loved life, laughter and family.

Shirley is survived by her children John Allen Joseph Wilcox of Sacramento, Christine Merrill of Oklahoma and Charlyn Wilcox Breedlove of Shingletown, CA. With a host of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her on Wesley James Wilcox and her daughter Della Marie Wilcox.

The family would like to thank all those who called, sent cards and flowers while keeping us in your prayers.

A private celebration of life will be held for the family only.
