Stan passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 surrounded by those who loved him. Stan was born in Aberdeen, WA on March 29th, 1955. Before he was in the eighth grade he had gone to twenty-one different schools and have even spent the whole year at one school. He graduated from Enterprise High School in 1973. Stan then went to Shasta College where he majored in golf. At the age of twenty-one, he won the Riverview Invitational.
During his formative years, he was introduced to the construction business. He worked for Anderson Construction owned by his dad and cousin, where he worked alongside a few more cousins. He finally found his niche while working in the concrete business with Jim Freeman. He later went on to work many years with Muse Concrete, where he made some very good friends and did lots of backhoe work.
Stan was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the San Francisco Giants and Forty-Niners. Two years ago we went to a Giants game. Our seats were third row by the visitors dugout. When we got to our seats he was a like a little kid rubbing his hands together with a big grin in awe of how close we were. We will never forget that day.
His cousin said the reason Stan had to leave us so soon was because his dad, uncle, and cousin were in need of a fourth for an early Tee time.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elton. He is survived by his loving mother, JoAnn; sister, Lynn; and a very special lady, Dana and her children Nicole and Rodney.
A Celebration of Stan's Life will be held on Sunday, October 4 at 2:30pm at Allen's Golf Course on Sacramento Drive. Please join the family for the celebration, they will have food and good memories to share.
