Anita Louise Miles

Anita Louise Miles was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 7, 1943 to Velos and Christine Stoyonovich. She was one of two children. Anita passed away in her Garden City, Michigan home on July 29, 2025 at the age of 82.

She was the beloved mother of Scott Lee Miles, the late Brett Lee Miles, and the late Brian Lee Miles. Loving grandmother "Baba" of Brian (Bethany) Miles, Aaron (Xay) Miles, and Ryan (Shanon McKay) Miles.

Fun-loving great-Baba of Emma, Aubree, Jaxon, and Eli. Sister of the late Jim Stoyonovich. Sister in law of Viola Stoyonovich. Cousin and best friend of Linda Skiba, Doreen Phillips, and Michael Sterioff.

Anita was an Office Manager and Bookkeeper at Minkin Chandler Corp. and had a long and happy career until she retired. She was known for being the life of the party and she loved hosting parties, especially for the holidays. Her favorite food to serve and eat was a traditional Macedonian Pita and lamb stew. She was an avid reader and has an impressive home library. She had an amazing garden with many varieties of flowers and vegetables. However, her passion was University of Michigan football. Everyone knew to not bother her on a Saturday during football season. In her later years, she enjoyed watching all types of movies.

Anita will be laid to rest with her son in Parkview Cemetery, Livonia, Michigan. Please register for updates for day and time to be announced.
