             I have known Carl for a number of years, and got to know him as a friend over the past couple of years. Having an interest in antiques there was plenty of good conversations over a happy hour brew. Life is really about people and he shared a lot about his family. He loved the story about what he collected as much as the stuff. I remember his interest in having a Lionel train restored that his Father owned. He gave me a vintage piece of luggage that I carried in my 1924 Model T, it had belonged to an Aunt and she had  used it when she came to the United States. The luggage was for my display and it still houses a bunch of Model T parts. He loved vintage adding machines from the turn of the century.  He asked if I would make him a replacement part for one of his machines. The last antique was his 1976 Eldorado Cadillac, that he was refurbishing one piece at a time. When he pulled up in the drive, the top would be down and his grin said it all.         airplane Bob

Carl was a good beer drinking buddy at the Sports Venue. We knew each
other going back to old Blarney Bay days and the Wheat & Rye also.
He will be missed by a lot of people. My thoughts go out to his family.

I was so sadden to learn of Carls passing.  A real gentleman.  Carl was a very fair analyst at Ford Credit (of course I could never tell him that).  I enjoyed his visits to the dealership after he left FMCC.  RIP my friend.  You will be missed by many.

Carl was my friend and colleague for more than 25 years. What a true shock and loss for all of us. He had such a strong ethic, moral compass and kind heart. Never a week went by without a  story from yesterday and log ago. My sincere sympathy for his brothers and their families. He loved you all and shared so many wonderful details of your lives, he carried you all with him everyday. You have no idea of how many people Carl has touched through the years. So many memories have flooded back these last two days. Regrets from the times not spent together, and praise for the times we did.  From being my mentor when I moved from Admin to Collections at Ford Credit--to all the times we spent on Fridays at Parklane Towers Bar with friends, head in hand--only to get up Saturday and head out remodeling shopping at the local building supply store.  Carl--I know we will do it all again someday...until then, praying for your family, and knowing we will meet in remodeling heaven. I will miss your Christmas phone call.  Love "the Captain".
