You Made Me Laugh In Ways I Thought I Wouldn’t Never Laugh Again. Your Spirit Has Always Been Amazing To Me ! We Fussed Like True Friends ( Playfully ) You Was My Rock ! You Was My Right Hand. Walker was my friend. Walker was the homie!!
I'm going to miss walking up to you saying "my mans Walker!" I'm going to miss our random conversations and outings to random restaurants. I'm going to miss us hitting each other up when we traveled back to Baltimore/Detroit for the "goods" Most of all, I'm going to miss you talking about and showing pictures of your kids. I'm going to miss you saying "I'm only here for a good time, not a long time" God may have saw your long time as a short time with us in the physical, but we for sure will always and forever remember the good times we all shared with you.  My love, prayers, thoughts, and condolences are with all family and friends. I love you my mans!

Dearest Family and Friends of Daniel Walker,

I am deeply saddened to hear about the sudden loss of our beloved, Daniel. In this time of profound grief, I offer my heartfelt condolences and prayers for strength and comfort.

As we navigate this difficult journey, I find solace in the wisdom of the Holy Bible. In Ecclesiastes 3:1-4, it reminds us that there is a time for everything: “To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.”

Daniel’s time on this earth may have been shorter than we hoped, but his impact and the love he shared are evident in your memories, he will remain in our hearts forever. May we find strength in each other and in our faith during this challenging period.

There's a whole lot more to this story, but Daniel had a knack for coaching through conversation.  He was incredible at building relationships & this translated to him being able to guide others to do what was right or whatever needed to be done.

This guy's facial expressions could would convey a thousand words without speaking a word.

We shared an appreciation for great food.

Daniel Walker was my friend & mentor.  For years I worked directly with & under him.  His leadership style & his attitude were positive & payfull, but he truly demonstrated knowledge & a continuing desire to learn.  I've had the pleasure to watch him grow in his career over the years, and I attribute a great deal of my own success to his guidance.  My friend you are missed, but will always be remembered!

I still can’t wrap my brain and heart around your passing.  My heart breaks knowing you’re gone and that I won’t be seeing you soon like we had planned when I moved back home.  Unfortunately, we don’t have photos together, but we do have a ton of memories which I will forever cherish.  

I met Walker when I started working at Horseshoe in 2014 and we instantly clicked and became the best of friends.  I was the “work wife” as he called me.  He, J Wright, Vernon and I were always getting into shenanigans and I loved every second of it.  I remember the night he fell while we were doing the “shadow program” with potential new hires and he tried to play it real cool, but we ended up just literally rolling on the floor laughing.  I brought in baked goods from this apple orchard in my home town one time, and then every time I went home, I loaded my trunk full of donuts or pies.  We called it “black market baked goods”.  

I left for Las Vegas in 2017, but that didn’t stop our friendship. Any time Walker would come out to Vegas, we made sure to meet up.  I introduced him to carne asada fries and it was a wrap after that. I think he had them like 4 times in one trip.  We still talked regularly about work, our kids, our lives and our futures.  He was one of the most genuine, caring, funny, loving, kind, generous human beings I have ever met. I could go on and on about how amazing he was, but not sure how much space it will give me.  The world has gotten a little dimmer with him gone, but I have to find peace knowing he was called home for whatever reason God saw fit.  He’s up there with J Wright right now giving each other the biggest hug and waiting for the rest of us to come party with them.  Love you Walker! Miss you more than you’ll ever know.  Until we meet again… I’ll remember our last hug and our last conversation.

Daniel(Walker as we affectionately called him)  is, not was, one of the funniest and joyful person I could cross paths with.  I like to say we started our friendship blindly but, I knew God put him in my life for a good reason. Walker worked surveillance when I first started working at Horseshoe. I think I called his phone so much, it started as, “Surveillance, this is Walker;” to “Q, what did you do now bro!” 

Over the years, we have shared a lot of great and happy times. I will cherish every minute. From sharing  a good meal and a few good laughs, to watching his chest stick out and seeing the happiness on his face talking about his daughter. He will always be remember as good coworker, a brother, and an awesome friend. 

I extend my dearest condolences and prayers to his family, friends, and all who knew Daniel. I pray that we all find peace and comfort knowing that he is resting in the arms of the father and we will all see him again.

Saddened and shocked is an understatement. He truly was one of the kindest, one of the most professional, and one that always gave a smile and a "thank you" when l brought treats for the team.  He answered many of my incessant questions and  instintently  appeared out of nowhere where his mere presence would calm many a situation. I was so very lucky to know and work with him. He was simply one of the best.  My heart breaks for his family and friends. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. ♡

I Was so happy you finally came down from surveillance and became a supervisor!!! I was pregnant at this time and we use to chop it up all night in the office. Always a laugh with you and always a lesson! Gonna miss the crazy faces you make lol and all the great advice you give when i cant find the answers on my own. You were a phenomenal person D. I cant believe your gone. my heart goes out to your loved ones because i know how deeply youll be missed.  Until next time Walker!!

This is a complete shock. Daniel what can I say man. I was only lucky enough to know you for a few months but man in that time you left a lasting impression on me. Heaven gained a good one. I'll never forget your advise you gave me or our trash talking about football season but just know coming from a Steelers fan like myself I'll be rooting for the Ravens this year as well. Rest easy my friend.

Words can't explain how you are truly going to be missed. I just sit back and think about all the good times we had cutting up in that office, and how I would have you cracking up. My heart goes out to the family. Until we meet again I will hold all the good memories in my heart ❤️ .

Nothing about this feels real. I thank you for being one of the most genuine people I have ever met. I am so proud to have been able to call you my friend. You’re one of the best fathers that I know. I loved listening to you brag about your sons and daughter. You could hear the pride in your voice. I will keep them all in my prayers. I will miss our conversations about life’s challenges, goals and triumphs. Thank you for always motivating me. I hope that you knew the impact that you had on everyone who knew you and how much you were loved. I love you forever and always my friend. Rest peacefully. ❤️
