Dorothy Eleanora Smith

After high school, Dorothy went to cosmetology school.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Smith of 47 years; parents Jacob and Hilma Salminen; children Vickie Wencel and George Smith; and eleven siblings; and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Maureen (James) Zerilli and granddaughter Alyssa Zerilli.

Dorothy was an avid bike rider, dancer, homemaker, mother, grandmother and the Slapneck Sweetheart. She loved nature and the outdoors. She made the best pancakes in the world. Dorothy had her own salon in her basement.

A memorial visitation for Dorothy will be held Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 25450 Plymouth Rd., Redford, Mi 48239, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
