June Joann Bunker

June Joann was born to Joseph and Mary (Vingerelli) Rovano on June 27, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan. She and her brother, Gene grew up surrounded by extended family. She met her husband, Harold while working at Chrysler in 1952. They married and had 8 children. Mary (Jon) Mackey, Allan, Holly (Bob) Klebba, Pamela (Paul) Sevonty, David (Lisa) Bunker, Laurie (Sam) Bunker Constante, John and Jennifer Metivier. She was Grandma / Noni to grandchildren – James Klebba, Amanda Larsen, Jon (Heather) Mackey, Brandon (Allison) Larson, Stephanie (Brandon) Klebba, Lauren (Dan) Bunker, Dominique (Jake) Przywara, Gabrielle Metivier, Angelo Bunker and Juliet Metivier. And great-grandchildren – Alexis, Caleb, Iszabella, Tyler, Charli, Adam and Violet and her many grand-pups. She was Aunt June to many nieces & nephews. Dear cousin to Tina & Carol. She is preceded by her parents, husband, brother and daughter, Holly.

She shared a special bond with her brother’s family. Her loving sister-in-law, Tommie always brought a smile and laughter to her day. His children, Steven and Dawn and their families made her feel very loved & welcomed when she visited them in California.

Over the years, she loved bowling, playing cards, painting, gardening, crocheting and bird watching. She loved spending time with family and enjoying holiday dinners and family breakfasts. She traveled with her best friend, Barbara Luyet. She spent her later years making baby sweaters, blankets and hats that were donated to various charities. In 2023, she was so proud to be honored by the President of the United States for her volunteer service. She found so much joy with her grand-pups over the last few years.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 2:00–8:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. (in state at 9:30 a.m.), also at the funeral home. In memory of June, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her honor.
