Katherine Marie Sampson

Katherine was born on May 13, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, to Donald and Dorothy Budds. On March 10, 1979, she married the love of her life, Ron, beginning a devoted marriage filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

Katherine found great joy in traveling and camping throughout Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. Mackinac held a special place in her heart, and she especially loved visiting the shores of the Great Lakes, as well as the peaceful beauty of Houghton Lake and South Higgins Lake. One of her favorite pastimes was simply sitting on the beach, enjoying the sights and sounds of the water. She also loved attending arts and crafts shows, spending time working on puzzles, and making memories with those she loved.

Katherine will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Ron; her daughter, Angela Sampson; her siblings, Janet Turner, Tom Budds, Donna Beems, and Tim Budds; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Ann Marie Sampson; her parents, Donald and Dorothy Budds; and her siblings, Mike Budds and Brenda Budds.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Katherine's life during a memorial visitation on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, Redford, Michigan.

Katherine's warmth, adventurous spirit, and love for her family will forever be cherished. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
