

Kristin Suzanne Cassani, born on May 18, 1968, in Michigan, passed away on February 12th in the comfort of her childhood home. She was a woman of great humor, wit, intelligence, and deep compassion—a true friend to many and a devoted mother.
Kristin’s greatest joy in life was being a mother to her two daughters, Victoria (Anthony) Owens and Natasha (Treshawn King) Rees. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Margareta Erminia Cassani, and her husband, Robert John Rees.
A passionate advocate for both people and animals, Kristin dedicated her career to helping others. She worked as a life and job coach for disabled adults and a social worker, always striving to uplift those in need. Her love for animals led her to run a cat rescue, embodying her deep sense of kindness and responsibility toward all living beings. In addition to her professional and charitable work, Kristin had a curious spirit, known for her involvement in paranormal investigations—always seeking truth and understanding in the mysteries of the world.
While not deeply religious, Kristin embraced a spiritual and agnostic perspective, finding meaning in life’s connections and experiences.
A Memorial to Honor Kristin Cassani will be held on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, at Bell Events Studio (24624 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48033) from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM. A time for sharing memories and reflections will begin at 12:30 PM.
