I met Sandy in the neighborhood (Detroit. Michigan). We grew up together. I remember when Sandy and Mike first met.. I remember their first date and their courtship.  I have known Sandy close to fourty- five years.  
Sandy was a genuine person. She was kind, good-hearted,  honest, and had a deep faith in  God. I will miss her.

Aunt Sandy was full of love and kindness. Her smile and laugh could truly light up a room. Growing up, we would spend quality time watching all of our favorite shows from Golden Girls to Little House on the Prairie. During that time we spent together she was always there for me and provided meaningful advice and life lessons. I am very thankful to have many memories with her to cherish and will miss her so much. 

Aunt Sandy knew I was not much of a chef but I look forward to  trying to master her famous mostaccioli. It was not a family party without her famous dish. 

I love you, Aunt Sandy ❤️. 

My Godmother, Aunt Sandy, was the most caring, wise, and non-judgmental person I knew. I always admired her ability to listen and care for others - she just had a way of making you feel at home when you were with her and in her arms. Her humor, cooking, and singing voice were always top-notch (even when she’d sing high-pitched Shelley Fabares or put chopped pickles in egg salad).    I’m so thankful she was part of my life since the day I was born, and I’m heartbroken she had to go so soon. She will forever be a part of me and I will cherish the memories we made together.    She knew how much everyone loved her, and I hope everyone knows how much she loved them. The weeks before she passed, I spent a lot of time with her. One of the most important things she told me was that she wanted all her family and friends to know that she truly loves every one of them.    May the most perfect Godmother and one of the most special people in my life rest in peace, I love you ❤️

Michael Allison Katey and Zach Rachfal,    Your Dad and Mom were like a brother and a sister to us DeBets clan.   I stood up in Sandy and Mike’s wedding  and will always remember the memories  on Alter road .  Sandy could cook her pasta was always a favorite at the parties. Our prayers are with Michael Matthew and Jessica and please remember we are always  here for you.  I spoke with Sandy that Thursday she was in good spirits and wasn’t having any pain and I  assured her that the DeBets family would check on the kids and that everything was going to be okay . My sister Kari was with Sandy the day she passed away and said the priest had arrived just in time   And Sandy went peacefully.  They will be missed but they will always be in are hearts . Dear Michael, Matthew and Jessica,  We are so sorry for your loss.  I remember your mother was always so happy and smiling. She loved all of you and her grandchildren so much.  This was very evident as I looked through all of the memories and photos that have been  posted. 
She is now with your father for eternity.  They are watching over all of you.

Dear Michael, Matthew and Jessica,

Your Mom was the most kind, caring, trusting, genuine, generous, helpful  and loving person.   The kids and I are so blessed to have had her in our lives.   I have so many happy memories with your Mom (and Dad). You guys definitely had the BEST parents!   I hope you know how much your Mom loved each of you (and Ember and little Michael), She dedicated her entire life to being the best Mom and Gramma!  And she was an awesome Aunt and God Mother too! I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Sandy.  Her laughter and smile will be what I remember most. She loved all the kids so much, always wanted to know what was going on and how they were doing. I’ll miss all the family gatherings are her house. Her house was like a 2nd home, we were always welcomed with open arms. Thank you for all the love, laughter and great food! I already miss her so much and I just hope she knew how much she was loved.  Thank you aunt Sandy, for being the bestest Aunt ever. (She would totally make fun of me for saying that) 

I will miss you and love you always Aunt Sandy, I'll always remember your constant smiles and laughter, you we're one of kind, there aren't enough words to describe what a great person and aunt you are RIH ❤️

My sister Sandy was the best, such a loving and caring person   Her two grandkids were her whole life. She is truly missed. But she is in heaven with her husband and our family. Love ❤️ you sis.  R.I. P. 

I am so heartbroken….I will miss Aunt Sandy so much. She was the best Aunt a niece could ask for. I know she is with her beloved husband, Uncle Mike. Aunt Sandy, I will love and miss you forever ❤️
