Vera would attend St. Agnes Catholic High School and graduate in 1953. Vera's time was spent as a homemaker, her door and kitchen could always be found open to anyone who would visit. She enjoyed all areas of cooking from baking to barbeque. If there wasn't a pot or pan on the stove there was a pressing comb and hot curlers as she loved doing hair. Although her home based occupations were her passion, Vera also enjoyed fishing, a good hot cup of coffee or an ice cold can of Pabst Blue Ribbon. You wouldn't leave Vera's presence without a new punch line, a nugget of wisdom or a quick shot of sarcasm. Vera's later years found her facing extreme physical challenges. Though even during these times her positive attitude and acceptance of what will be revealed yet more of her steadfast character. Vera through it all never stopped being Vera. Her bright smile , interest in you and willingness to assist will always be cherished.
Vera was the beloved daughter of the late Mina and Oregon Solomon. Cherished sister of the late Coreen Mourning and the late John Solomon. She was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
