OBITUARY
Wendy Dolores Koos
August 29, 1937 – January 15, 2021
Wendy Dolores Koos, 83, of Farmington Hills, passed away peacefully January 15, 2021. The daughter of the late Valentine and Bessie Beaser, she was born August 29, 1937 in Highland Park, MI.
Wendy graduated from Walled Lake Central High School in 1955 and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University. She spent the majority of her 50-year nursing career in the psychiatric field, as a psychiatric nurse, dual diagnosis counselor, and psychiatric nursing instructor.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Errol Koos of Farmington Hills; her children Scott Armstrong of Ann Arbor, Errol Koos Jr. (Julie) of Macomb, and Heidi Breeden (Wade) of Seattle; and her brother Bob Beaser (MaryAnn) of Ann Arbor. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Todd and Christian. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren James, Jack, Nina, and Alex.
Wendy was known to all as perhaps the kindest and most loving soul possible. With a delightful sense of humor and taste for adventure, she embraced the joys of life even while bravely guiding her family through its challenges. Her love of experiencing new places lent itself to traveling throughout Europe, and living in her beloved San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, and Toronto as well as her native Michigan.
The loss of our dear Wendy – deeply loved wife, mother, sister, grandma – is immeasurable. But we know her faith in God guided her in all she did, and we are blessed to know that she is now with Him and her sons.
A memorial service will be planned for spring/summer 2021. She will rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Louis Center, 16195 Old U.S. 12, Chelsea, MI 48118.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Wendy. We will always remember the warm, precious and sometimes wild and crazy times we shared with her and Errol. Wendy was filled with compassion, love and grace who always had time for others. She was truly a treasured friend who will stay in our hearts forever.

Dear Errol and family, so sorry to hear of Wendy’s passing. I have fond memories of family gatherings at Aunt Bessie and Uncle Val’s home on the lake, although my older brother and sister shared many more special times with all the cousins. I always admired Wendy and thought she was so pretty and sharp and successful in her career, but always so sweet and caring. I’ve attached a photo from my parents (John & Carolyn Berry) wedding in 1942 when Wendy was their flower girl and Uncle Val a groomsman...hugs to the family

Although I have not seen Wendy in a number of years, she was my roll model growing up. I have so many fond memories of family parties at her parents home in Westridge. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. My prayers are with all of the family. My deepest sympathy. Mary Kenny

Some of my most vivid memories of childhood centered on the Armstrong household playing at Scott’s under the nurturing care of Mrs. Armstrong (as she was known to me). Magnetic hockey in his living room, sleepovers, endless days and nights canvassing Westacres with Scott, Mike Aughenbaugh, Jamie Burke and the rest of the gang. Thank you Mrs. Armstrong Koos for being one of my favorite Moms. You touched my life and those of so many of others. Rest In Peace.
With deepest gratitude,
Rick Russell

Dear Errol: We are so sad to hear of Wendy's passing and we will miss her immensely. Miraculously, Janice and I were talking about the two of you yesterday as we were going through some old photo albums reminding ourselves of good times and enduring friendships. Janice loved talking with Wendy and said that her most special gift was her ability to really hear and feel what you were saying. After a conversation with her you felt really loved and cared for. She was a lovely person with so much grace, charm and dignity. We will continue to think of her often and with great joy. Love and best wishes always to the Koos clan, Keith and Janice

Hi all,
I’m very sorry for your loss. During our boyhood years in Westacres Todd and I played a lot. Surely we tested the patience of every parent quite a bit. Wendy truly had not a single mean bone in her body. I wish you all peace as you mourn and fill the emptiness with the flood of wonderful memories when that time comes.
Much love!

Dear Errol, I have very happy memories of spending time with you and Wendy during Symantec times and later when I traveled to Michigan - you were both so welcoming and kind, and Wendy's compassion and sense of humor made it all the more so. You were wonderful partners for one another, and I am so sorry that she is no longer with us.

I have many fond memories of when Wendy and I worked together at the Fox Center many years ago. She was always kind, respectful and considerate of others...keeping us grounded and smiling no matter the circumstance. Witnessing her strong faith was such an inspiration during times of unbearable losses. I'll always carry a special place in my heart for Wendy. She will be missed.
