William H. "Bill" Woelk

William H. Woelk was born on December 20, 1956 in Highland Park, Michigan. He was the third child of Frederick and Edith Woelk. Bill passed away on September 4, 2013 in Southgate, Michigan at the age of 56.

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sarah in 2000. He is survived by his cherished children William M. and Barbara. Loving sister Barbara (Richard) Boutain. Mother-in-law Irene Toldy. Brother-in-law Stephen (Peggy) Toldy. He was the loving uncle of the late Elizabeth (Michael) Patterson, Jeffrey Boutain, Matthew Boutain and Katherine Toldy and great uncle of Emma Patterson. Bill is also survived by his cherished cat Puddy and many loving friends, cousins, extended family members and neighbors.William is predeceased by his dear brother Ricky.

An excellent Chef, Bill worked for many years in the kitchen, following which he began a career as a mechanic. He especially enjoyed working on his bikes. His passion for cars did not end with work. Many who knew Bill knew his passion for NASCAR as well as him being huge fan of the Star Wars franchise.

In his free time he was a devoted dad. He would often play Halo and other video games with his son and taught William and Barbara how to play baseball and fix cars. He enjoyed attending services with his daughter at Grace Bible Church in Southgate, where he was a member for 6 years.

Bill's family will receive friends on Sunday September 8, 2013 from 2-8 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 25450 Plymouth Rd. (east of Beech Daly) in Redford.

His life will be celebrated with his Funeral Service on Monday September 9, 2013 at 10:30 am at the funeral home.

Bill will be laid to rest next to his cherished wife Sarah at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia following the service.
