Donna Marie Orel

A long time Michigan resident, Donna passed away at the age of 82 in Washington State where she lived near her daughter and family over last several years.

Donna was an avid sports fan, especially MSU Spartans, Detroit Red Wings, Nascar and Seattle Seahawks. She also had a lifetime of enjoying fishing and the outdoors with family and friends. She was a member of both the Elks and Eagles for many years with her beloved Joey at Houghton Lake. She was a highly valued Euchre partner there and with family and friends. Donna loved to crochet and made many beautiful afghan blankets that remain family heirloom treasures.

Donna is survived by her son, Brian G. Cole of Michigan, daughter, Kristine A. Johnson (Cole) of Washington and son, Thomas J. Orel of North Carolina, 8 grandchildren and 6+ great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Joseph Orel Jr, her parents, Howard M. and Josephine M. McManus, her son, Scott J. Orel, grandson, Michael D. Cole, grandson, Joseph C. Orel, and her twin sister, Deloris M Wright (McManus)

A memorial gathering for family and friends is planned for Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Cedar Lawns Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7200 180th Ave. NE Redmond, Washington
