

Eleanor was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 28, 1926 to Michael & Catherine Curran. She had three sisters, Mary, Theresa and Josephine. Shortly after her birth she moved to New York City, where she lived for most of her childhood. Her favorite activity was double dutch. She moved to the Seattle area in 1941 and finished high school at Holy Angles in Seattle. After high school she completed two years at Seattle University.
Eleanor had a career in bookkeeping and was good at it! She mostly worked in the automotive and steel industries. She never looked for work. She was called upon by previous managers or was recommended by them.
Eleanor married Jack Windsor in 1959 and raised three children. She was extremely close with her family and spent one day a week with each of her kids.
Eleanor loved to travel. She traveled to 49 of the 50 states, to Europe, to the South Pacific & to Central America.
Eleanor passed away on December 21, 2013. Eleanor’s mother, father & three sisters preceded her in death. Eleanor is survived by her husband Jack, daughter Judith (Lance), son’s James (Monique) & William (JoAnne), five grandchildren (a 6th due in January) and three great grandchildren.
A celebration of Eleanor’s life was held on January 3rd at Holy Family Parish in Kirkland, followed by a burial service at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Eleanor will be deeply missed.
