Jarrett was a really good kid - super talented at basketball and a kind-hearted person.  I really enjoyed playing with Jarrett at EBC.  We are really going to miss him.

From the little baby crawling around our floor, to the tall young man, who now had to look down to speak to us;
 
From the little boy who would sit on our laps riding the tractor, to the teen, racing back & forth on the basketball court;

Margaret, Tim and Griffin: Simple words cannot explain the deep sorrow we feel for you now. Jarrett was a fine young man. As your neighbors, we have very fond memories of rowdy, fun and hysterical laughter as Jarrett & Griffin played in your back yard. We will miss those laughs. Jarrett was an extraordinary young man.  He excelled academically and athletically.  This was possible because you were both committed and supportive parents. 

We will always have great memories of Jarrett.  We remember how excited you both were when we visited you at Evergreen Hospital when he was   born.  It was great to spend time with him and your family at his football/basketball games, fishing and barbecuing /tubing on Lake Sammamish.  One of Rob's lasting memories of him will be hauling in a steelhead on the Columbia River on a beautiful sunny day a few months ago.   

When we last saw him shortly after Christmas,  we could not believe how much his height and shoe size had increased in a few months.  

This would be more difficult if we did not know that he was with his Lord and that the Barker family would eventually reunite.

We were honored to be his Godparents.  Thank you.

We remember visiting Evergreen Hospital the day he was born and how excited Tim and Margaret were for their first born.  We were able to watch some of his basketball and football games, fish, and barbecue/tube on Lake Sammamish during the summer.  One of Rob's last memories of him was hauling in a steelhead on a fishing trip on a beautiful sunny day on the Columbia River a few months ago.

I don't even know what to say.  I waited too long to reach out and see what a great young man Jarrett had become.  Your family has been in my thoughts often over the years. Jarrett was the tall kid that I literally had to look up to. He always had a smile on his face and I was happy to work with him in class. I was working on a project with him before I heard the news and I want to remember him the way he was when I last talked to him. He was a great example for everybody and will not be forgotten. Jarret, you will be missed you really will be. The night I found out what had happened me and Kathy pulled an all nighter and made about 40 blue and black rubber band braclets and many people are wearing them with pride. I have known Jarrett since I was in first grade and I miss him so much he always had the biggest smile and made me laugh I did a couple of projects with him and he was really hard working, on Tuesday when I came to school I was so glad to see everybody wearing Blue for him I don't think he realized how important he was to all of us I know that Heavan gained another angle on Sunday.
