She lived a huge life and the amount of lives she touched and influenced were just as huge!
She taught and inspired generations of horse riders and independent-minded women. Although she suffered more losses in her life than most, her strong will and perseverance always rose to the occasion enabling her to carry on and live each day to its fullest. She had a sense of style, fashion, and class all of her own......from the clothes she wore to decorating her home to entertaining and cooking for large crowds.
As a mother she filled her children's lives with love and caring and instilled in them the confidence to pursue whatever adventures they dreamed of embarking upon and the courage to conquer whatever challenges they faced.
As a friend, to her children and many others, she was always there full of compassion, wisdom, endless hours of laughter and the honesty to tell you the truth when asked her opinion.
Her passions were many: cultivating the perfect horse and rider team, cooking, decorating, writing poems and humorous stories of days gone by, putting together the perfect "outfit" for the occasion or the perfect show clothes for an upcoming horse show, entertaining and bringing joy and laughter to all those around her.
Her love for animals, like people, was deep, nurturing and loyal. No bird too small and no horse too sick. Many hours and days were spent hand feeding and raising baby crows, baby goats, or doctoring and caring for a sick horse.
She was both the toughest minded and the softest hearted person you would ever have the privilege of knowing.
She will be missed by many, many people but the impact she had on their lives will carry on forever.
She is survived by her three children Steve Wolfe, Sue Wolfe and Tina Wolfe along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Please join us to celebrate her life on Saturday June 27th at 1:00pm in her home in Kirkland (Bridlewood Stables).
