Linda Kay Bierly

Linda Kay (Shepard) Bierly passed away peacefully on Monday, November 26th with her family by her side.

Born on May 29th, 1953, in Springfield, Ohio, Linda was the eldest child and only daughter of Robert and Barbara Shepard. Linda graduated from Bella Vista High School and attended Pikes Peak College. In 1984, after receiving her Associate of Arts Degree in Legal Studies, Linda began her 30-year career as a Paralegal.

Linda was passionate about music, reading and gardening. She was also dedicated to educating students. Linda taught developmentally disabled students, and after retirement she volunteered as an advocate for foster children through the CASA Association. She was also an active and dedicated member of her community church and often volunteered in the children’s nursery.

Linda is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jennifer Haney; son, Joshua and daughter-in-law, Heather Bierly; her brother, Robert and sister-in-law, Maureen Shepard; her granddaughter, Taylor Haney; and her niece, Alyssa. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her niece Kayla.

Service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19th, 2018 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue. Fr. Jim Johnson will officiate. The family would like to thank Evergreen Health Hospice and A&D Quality Care for their dedicated support and kindness.
