Lowell Elmond White, Jr MD or “Bud” was born in Tacoma, Washington on January 16, 1928 and passed on January 18, 2017 in Issaquah, Washington. Bud was the son of Lowell Elmond White, Sr, and Hazel Leanna Conley. He was happily married to his deceased wife Margie Mae Lamb for 69 years.
Bud graduated from Lincoln High School, Seattle, Washington, 1946. US Navy 1946-47, Naval Reserve, 1948-66. He was a Freemason at Yancy C. Blalock Lodge for 50+ years.
BS in Pharmacy 1951 and MD in Medicine, 1953 from University if Washington. Internship at Chapel Hill, NC, 1953-54, Guggenheim Fellow, 1958-59. Residency in Neurosurgery, University of Washington, 1954-1960. Assistant Professor 1960-64, Associate professor 1964-68, Associate Dean , 1965-68 at University
Of Washington Medical School.
Professor and Head of Department of Neurosurgery at University of Florida, 1968-72.
Chairman of Neuroscience Division, University of South Alabama, 1972-1977. Adjunct Professor Speech Pathology and Audiology, Alabama School of Mathematics and Science, 1993-94. Professor of Neuroscience, University of South Alabama, 1972-1994.

He is survived by his two daughters Leanna Maynes (Orlando) and Inger-Britt Peterson (Theodore). He was preceded in death by his son, Henry White (Betty). He was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Erika-Britt, Aynsley-Britt, Mackenzie-Britt, Ryan, Zachary, Holly, Heather-Britt, and Kimberly-Britt, and 5 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday January 28, 2018, 1 PM at Timber Ridge at Talus in Issaquah Washington. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to John Simon Guggenheim Foundation.
