Mark Joseph Gormley

Mark was one of nine children and was blessed to share life with his twin sibling. He was married to the love of his life, Judith A. Gormley, for 63 devoted years. Together they built a loving family that includes five children, thirteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A proud United States Navy veteran, Mark served his country honorably for three years. He went on to build a distinguished career with the Social Security Administration, eventually relocating from the East Coast to manage operations on the West Coast.

Mark was a man of deep faith whose life reflected humility, discipline, generosity, and love. He was slow to anger, quick to forgive, and always available to listen, help, and support those around him. He never sought wealth or recognition and freely shared whatever he had with others.

An intellectual at heart, Mark loved reading and possessed an extraordinary knowledge of history, especially World War II. Family members often marveled at his ability to recall historical facts and stories with remarkable accuracy. He was known for his quick wit, sharp mind, and warm sense of humor.

Mark enjoyed hiking, daily walks, and the simple pleasures of life, including a good loaf of bread. Above all, he cherished his family. As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he loved wholeheartedly and left a lasting impact on every life he touched.
